Welcome Back - With Free Lunch!

Welcome Back!

The 2015-2016 school year starts on Wednesday, August 26. As always, students should be in homeroom by 7:45, and classes will begin promptly at 8:00.

Lottery Results Mailed Out

Yesterday, 3/16, the UPCS staff ran the admissions lottery for the upcoming seventh grade.

Acceptances are being mailed out today. Students who were accepted will receive confirmation in the mail within the next week.

New Student Information Meeting

If you live in the neighborhood and are interested in enrolling a new seventh grader for next year, our new student information meeting has been rescheduled to THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12, at 6 PM. The lottery will be held the week of the 23th and accepted families will be notified.

All families who are interested in enrolling at UPCS should come on the 12th for information about the lottery and to meet the staff and faculty.

School CLOSED Thursday Due to Extreme Cold

Due to dangerous weather conditions, the Worcester Public Schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 8, 2015.  

The National Weather Service forecast is for bitterly cold wind chills that are expected to begin Wednesday night and remain into Thursday morning.
The Wind Chill Warning is in effect in the Worcester area from 5 pm on Wednesday afternoon to 10 am Thursday.

The forecast calls for dangerously cold wind chill values with readings as low as 30 below. These dangerously cold wind chills will result in Frostbite or hypothermia if precautions are not taken. A wind chill index below -30 can bring about frostbite in as little as 10 minutes. Outdoor exposure time should be limited in these conditions.
